Story

HAJIMA means BEGIN

After tours in Afghanistan and Iraq former U.S. Marine Lieutenant Miles Moto struggles to adjust to civilian life back home in Los Angeles. Plagued with guilt over a failed mission in Iraq, Miles also is torn between a career with his family’s company the Moto Corporation or life as a professional musician. However when a former comrade from his unit is found brutally murdered while living on the streets of skid row it sets off a chain reaction that will force Miles to grow not only as a man but maybe even a hero.

Grew up in Boise, Idaho. He went to Bard College in New York and after graduating lived in South Korea working as an actor. He currently lives in Los Angeles.

Ken Takemoto (Uncle Richard)

Television credits include Seinfeld, How I Met Your Mother, Rizolli and Isles, Greys Anatomy, Arrested Development, and Parenthood. Some of his film credits are Transformers 3, The Island, and Just Like Heaven

ML Berry (Narrator)

Started out in Los Angeles in 2003 as a reader for a casting director. ML has been blessed to work in the field he has had a passion for since the age of 11.

Celestin Cornielle (Jose Luis)

Is a dynamic actor born in the Dominican Republic. He enjoyed a recurring role on Day’s of Our Lives as well as appearances on Marvel’s Agent of Shield, CSI-Miami, NCIS-Los Angeles, TNT’s Rizolli & Isles, and Tyler Perry’s House of Pain. Celestin is also a jewelry designer and co-founder of JJCjewelry.com, a line that uses fashion to empower women.

Gina Coconato (April King)

Has appeared in numerous commercials such as McDonalds, United Airlines, Dannon Yogurt, and more. Her film credits include Nickelodeon’s Sam and Cat as well as America’s Most Wanted, and Roll Bounce among others. In LA Gina has found a lovely stage home singing for Ryan Black’s Cabaret 88s and Rockwell Table and Stage’s Broadway Barre, and most recently at James Mooney’s Music Room.

George Capacete (Carlos Escobar)

Is a native of Los Angeles. His passion for acting began on stage at an early age. Some recent highlights include a film he co-starred in “Sabre Dance” will debut at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.

Lauren Eilola (Heather Wilson)

Is an actress living in Atlanta. Though primarily focused on film acting, she also performs standup comedy and has trained in improve at UCB. Follow her on Twitter @thelolalife for updates and life observations.

Joseph Valdez (Commander Quickbear)

Was awarded a Presidential Scholarship to study Theatre Arts at the University of Southern California and since graduating, he has worked in Los Angeles both as an actor and writer. Damani Singleton (Troy Porter)

Received his B.F.A. from Howard University and has worked in film, theatre, television, and radio for over 20 years. Some of his credits include The Piano Lesson, Topdog/Underdog, and Clockers.

Karen Charlton (Mary Moto)

A professional singer for over 20 years, Karen did stage performances, studio work, and opening acts for Paul Williams (The Way We Were). She has been acting for 2 years in Los Angeles where she performed in over 25 features, shorts and commercials, including one national Wood Bridge Wine commercial.

Darin Munell (Executive Producer)

Born in Canfield, Ohio and wanted to get into the movie business ever since he repeatedly watched Big Trouble in Little China at the age of 6. Some of his producing credits include Sensible Verdict, Succubus, The Birth and Screamfest Selection DUI. Most recently Darin starred, wrote, and produced the web series Lone Wolf McCray.
